Crime Detector

Dispute & Objection Process

Last updated: April 4, 2026

Overview

If your address or entity has been flagged in a Crime Detector alert, you may submit an objection. We take accuracy seriously and provide a formal process for reviewing contested alerts.

Crime Detector generates alerts based on automated on-chain pattern analysis. We recognize that automated systems may produce false positives, and we are committed to correcting inaccurate flags.

How to Submit an Objection

To submit an objection, send an email to disputes@crimedetector.io with the following information:

  1. Flagged address(es): The wallet address(es) that were included in the alert
  2. Entity name: The name of the organization or individual associated with the address
  3. Alert reference: The alert ID or date/description of the alert in question
  4. Explanation: A clear description of why you believe the flagging is incorrect
  5. Supporting evidence: Any documentation, transaction records, or other evidence that supports your claim

Please use the subject line: "Alert Objection -- [Entity Name]"

Review Process

Upon receiving your objection:

  1. Acknowledgment: We will acknowledge receipt within 3 business days.
  2. Investigation: Our team will review the flagged transactions and your submitted evidence within 14 business days.
  3. Determination: We will notify you of the outcome via email.
  4. Action: If the flag is determined to be incorrect, we will update our records and suppress future alerts for the verified entity. If the flag is upheld, we will provide an explanation of the findings.

Appeal

If you are unsatisfied with the initial review, you may request a secondary review by replying to the determination email with:

  • Additional evidence not included in the original submission
  • A specific explanation of which aspects of the determination you contest

Secondary reviews will be completed within an additional 14 business days.

Disclaimer

Alerts are generated from automated on-chain analysis. Flagging does not constitute an accusation of illegal activity. Crime Detector provides suspected activity alerts based on publicly available blockchain data and pattern detection algorithms. The presence of an alert does not imply guilt, wrongdoing, or violation of any law.
